5th Project meeting (Steering Committee and Advisory Board meeting) was held on 16th November, 2018 in London, United Kingdom. The main objective of the meeting was to provide advice to EIZ for the post–SmartEIZ period. SmartEIZ will finish at the end of the year and during the meeting EIZ researchers tackled topics that have been crucial in terms of SmartEIZ implementation, particularly called output topics. These topics should become a part of real EIZ’s competence in the future and they refer to: Assessing Innovation policy, Clusters, Smart City indicators, and Firm Productivity. Also, in the future it is expected that researchers will be engaged in one horizontal topic, Public policy evaluation, and evidence based policy which tackles previously mentioned topics.
