On 10th April, 2018, the coordinators of twinning projects in Croatia have met with representatives of the Croatian Science Foundation at the premises of the Institute of Economics, Zagreb. The objective of the meeting was exploring possibilities of connecting the Croatian Science Foundation’s program „Partnership in Research“ with Horizon 2020/ Twinning projects.
The representatives of the Institute of Economics, Zagreb, Ruđer Bošković Institute, Faculty of Agriculture and Faculty of Electrical Engineering met with the Croatian Science Foundation representatives Ms Sandra Milovanović.
and Ms Petra Doležalova. The joint conclusion is that the CSF should consider changing the propositions of the call for proposals in the sense that it does not require participation from the partner institution in the amount of 50% of funds but it should be based on the principle of excellence for all those who have received the Twinning project. In this way, all legal complications would be avoided by the CSF but also the EU, and it would reward successful participation on EU projects as well as scientific excellence.
